Goals from former Gers hitman Kris Boyd and a James Tavernier thunderbolt free-kick saw the keenly-contested match end in a stalemate – and it’s not what Rangers would have wanted.

Rangers start was a decent one; Kenny Miller, searching for his 100th Rangers goal, was sent in behind the Killie defence, but he could only fire into the side-netting.

However, the good start wouldn’t last long – and it would end
