Kenny Miller delighted to see Lee Wallace and Barrie McKay earn Scotland recognition

KENNY MILLER is delighted Rangers team-mates Lee Wallace and Barrie McKay have been rewarded for their fine form with a call-up to the Scotland squad.
And the Ibrox forward hopes there will be more players from Mark Warburton’s side forcing their way into Gordon Strachan’s plans in the coming months.
After missing out on several squads in recent years, Wallace has been handed a recall by Strachan for the friendly double-header with Italy and France.
And winger McKay has been given his maiden cap call after a campaign that saw him burst to prominence as the Gers have won the Championship title and Petrofac Training Cup and progressed to the Scottish Cup final.
Miller, who scored 18 goals in 69 appearances in dark blue, is pleased Wallace and McKay’s efforts at Ibrox have been deemed worthy of a Scotland berth.
He said: “Great for them. I’m absolutely delighted. They’re getting recognition for the season they’ve had. Individual awards and achievements are all secondary to what’s going on here as a club and how we’re moving forward.
“But that is testimony to the work we’re doing that we’ve got two lads in the squad at the end of the season.
“Hopefully, next season if we’re performing to the levels we have done this year then there will maybe be another two or three not far away.”
