Here’s the type of challenges that could await Hearts and Hibs in the next round of European competition.Hearts, Rangers, Hibs and Motherwell will discover who they may face in the third round of Champions League, Europa League and Conference League qualifying on Monday.Wouter Vrancken’s Jambos are in Austria on Tuesday for their second round qualifier first leg versus Sturm Graz while David Gray’s team from the other side of Edinburgh travel to FC Malisheva of Kosovo this Thursday. Motherwell begin life under Alfred Johansson at Fir Park against Faroese outfit HB Torshavn and play away in the second clash. First legs take place across July 21 and July 23 before return matches on July 28 and July 30.Rangers meanwhile enter the tournament they reached the final of four years ago in the penultimate qualification round. Ahead of those games, the Premiership trio in action this week will find out who comes next in Europe, if they are to progress out of their current ties. Rangers meanwhile will get a better idea of who their continental campaign will kick-off against. There is an added complication for Hearts who will drop into the Europa League if they lose to Sturm Graz while it’s win or bust for Hibs and Motherwell.
