Steven Gerrard names Gary McAllister as his Rangers assistant

Steven Gerrard has said that Gary McAllister can act as his “rock” after confirming that his former Liverpool teammate will join him as part of Rangers‘ backroom staff.

The Gers unveiled Gerrard as their new boss on Friday afternoon on a four-year deal starting from June 1 – the former Liverpool and England skipper’s first job in senior management.
