Rangers received eight red cards in the league last term – two more than any other Scottish Premiership side.
Half of those reds were shown to striker Alfredo Morelos, whose short fuse was triggered far too easily by opposition players.
Gerrard largely defended his players amid questions over their conduct last season but has made no bones about his stance on it heading into the 2019/20 campaign.
