Kyle Lafferty hits back at Rangers boss Steven Gerrard and explains reasons for release

via Express |

The Northern Irishman left Rangers two weeks ago after Gerrard deemed him surplus to requirements.

The striker spent only a year at Ibrox after returning for his second spell, but failed to make an impact.

Lafferty, 31, scored three times in 15 games during his short-lived return to the club.

And Gerrard decided to cut his losses on the forward and subsequently offered him mutual termination of his contract.
