The former Rangers and Celtic favourites are being strongly linked to the relegated English Premier League outfit.Rangers’ former title-winning manager Steven Gerrard is ready to return to management and is reportedly among the candidates to take over at Burnley if the club opt to part ways with Scott Parker this summer.After winning just four of their 34 league games this season, the English Premier League side were relegated back to the EFL Championship after just one season following a 1-0 loss to Manchester City last week, prompting the Turf Moor hierarchy to consider a change in the dugout – with Gerrard amongst the list of candidates to replace Parker in Lancashire next season.According to a report from Alex Crook, the 45-year-old former Ibrox boss is keen to return to management, having departed Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Ettifaq last January, and is open to managing in the English second tier.
