Rangers three-year deal for talented teenager welcomed by Derek McInnes

Rangers have re-signed highly-rated 17-year-old goalkeeper Rydnn McGuire on a new three-year contract extension.

The re-signing is important for the club as McGuire’s previous deal, his first professional contract, was due to expire in summer 2027.

That left him in the final year and vulnerable to a free or low-compensation exit, so thankfully that situation has been averted.

Several Premier League clubs, including Everton, Arsenal and Brighton have tracked McGuire
