Director confirms player set for Rangers move is leaving – Hurry to complete signing

Rangers are in the process of adding Go Ahead Eagles’ Oliver Antman to Russell Martin’s squad this summer.

Last week, we covered claims from the Dutch press which stated Rangers are interested in securing the winger’s services.

On Sunday, RTV Oost and De Telegraaf reported Rangers have reached an agreement with the Eredivisie side for €6m. RTV Oost said the Scottish club then had to agree personal terms with the 23-year-old.

Russell Martin’s side seem to have sorted out terms with the player and that’s at least what Go Ahead Eagles technical director Marc van Hintum indicates. He’s been speaking to ESPN NL, with Voetbal Primeur relaying his comments.

The Dutch club’s official has confirmed they are looking for a new winger as the Finland international is about to leave. The report adds he’s on the verge of joining Rangers.

“He [Feyenoord’s Jaden Slory] is a name on our list too. But there are many others on it. We definitely want to add another right winger because Antman is leaving,” he said.

According to Voetbal Primeur, Rangers are paying around €5-6m to Go Ahead Eagles for the attacker. They add Russell Martin’s side are in a ‘hurry’ to wrap up this operation as soon as possible.

Antman scored six goals and registered 16 assists from 36 games in all competitions last season for Go Ahead Eagles.
