Rangers development squad boss Graeme Murty has explained that the difficulty levels of the physical and mental challenges at the club have been raised so that the starlets are better equipped to turn out for the first team in the future.

Murty, who was appointed by Rangers in the summer, regularly promotes youngsters to the Under-20s, with several players from the Gers youth team currently being out on loan.
