Championship side Sunderland will kick off their preparations for the 2022-23 campaign with a pre-season friendly in Portugal against Scottish giants Rangers on Saturday.
The last time these two sides locked horns was back in July 1999 for Ian Ferguson‘s testimonial, which saw current Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst score in a 3-1 win against the Black Cats at Ibrox.
