Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has reportedly rejected the chance to become Newcastle United‘s next manager.
The 39-year-old has just completed his first season in management north of the border, finishing second to Celtic in the Scottish Premiership.
According to The Mirror, Newcastle owner Mike Ashley has been impressed by Gerrard’s work and he made an approach for the Liverpool midfield legend to succeed Rafael Benitez in the St James’ Park
