Rangers could have the perfect manager to take them forward even after losing out on Steven Gerrard to replace Russell Martin.
Gerrard pulled out the race to become the next Rangers boss after Martin was sacked after 123 days into his tenure.
Rangers chiefs are therefore lining up alternative options, although former Everton boss Sean Dyche is already out
