Express Sport revealed last month the Ibrox club are keen to reduce numbers, with players such as Greg Docherty, Jamie Murphy and Matt Polster set to be offloaded.
Docherty came into this campaign off a successful loan spell at Shrewsbury Town last season and despite being used in Rangers’ Europa League qualifying games, since then he has found his opportunities limited.
