Scottish FA director Gary Hughes to step down over alleged Rangers slur

The Scottish Football Association has confirmed that director Gary Hughes will not seek re-election following a row over an article in which he allegedly insulted Rangers fans.

The governing body stated that Hughes “intimated his decision upon return from holiday and the board respects his decision” ahead of Wednesday’s annual general meeting.
