Gerrard today penned a four-year deal at Rangers, replacing Graeme Murty who was sacked earlier this week.
It is the Liverpool legend’s first step into management following his retirement in 2016.
Redknapp knows Gerrard well from their playing days and says he has similar man-management characteristics to Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.
