That’s the view of former Rangers midfielder Alex Rae, who wants his old club to appoint Gerrard.
The Liverpool legend has been in talks with the SPL side following the sacking of Graeme Murty.
Gerrard is currently Liverpool Under 18s manager and is yet to take a senior managerial role in the game.
But Rae believes the 37-year-old can bring success to Rangers should he be named the new manager.
